WHO are those who might benefit from CAMS?

NEW CAREER MISSIONARIES: For those who have been approved or appointed for career service, CAMS can provide comprehensive training for those preparing for overseas ministry. How to enter culture, facing culture shock, the process for target/focus ministry, learning how cultures work and people group research, cross-cultural communication, CAMS can equip the career missionary for the task that lies ahead.

UPGRADE TRAINING FOR VETERANS Some people go to the field not entirely equipped for cross-cultural work. CAMS can help those who have been on the field and need to upgrade their skills on the challenges of overseas work. Through coaching, CAMS will work with the veteran on matters of strategic planning, understanding the culture they are living with and can help problem-solve the issues that missionaries face.

MISSION SENDING ORGANIZATIONS: Though most mission agencies believe pre-field and post-field training is important, few have the resources to provide good training for their people. CAMS can meet the training needs of mission agencies tailored to their training goals.

THE MISSIONAL CHURCH: The local church is the engine for the Great Commission. CAMS training can help the local church (a) discover missions through learning about today’s world gospel need, (b) see how they can reach “their community” in cross-cultural ministry and (c) develop a strategy of missions for their worldwide outreach.

SHORT-TERM mission projects. The success of any quality short-term mission trip is how well they are prepared for their overseas exposure. CAMS can help learn the dos, don’ts that will make short-term venture meaningful for all.

WHERE is CAMS located?

CAMS does not have a campus, it doesn’t have a headquarters. CAMS is a mobile training resource for their clients. The center for advanced mission studies is where the student or organization lives and serves. Think of CAMS as software, not hardware. For most “operating systems,” CAMS is compatible with the most mission outreach programs.

HOW long is the CAMS training?

Depending on the training need, CAMS training can be as little as a one-day seminar to a three-week intensive.

WHAT is the training cost of CAMS?

There is no set-fee for CAMS training; it is negotiated dependent on the needs of the person, church, or organization. Generally speaking, the cost is $50 to $500 per trainee plus expenses, depending on the training project. Tell us what your training budget is and CAMS will work to make it happen. The greater question is, how important is training to those we serve?

WHO does the training for CAMS?

CAMS is the training arm of Lewis Cross-Cultural Training, Inc. Learn more about LCCTI through our website. Brief overview, thirty years of cross-cultural experience, lived in three countries, visited over forty countries with academic credentials from BIOLA University.

WHAT is the process for CAMS training?
